About us
Mission, vision and objectives of the Local Production, Export & Development Authority.
Our Mission
To manage support programs and activities objectively and effectively, based on a set of criteria and standards selected through a scientific and practical approach. We strengthen every link in the value chain of local products — from research and development through production, marketing and shipping, all the way to after-sales support — so that the benefits of our support reach the widest possible group of beneficiaries.
Our Vision
"To stimulate export-oriented production of high value-added goods and to create promising export opportunities."
Our Objectives
As part of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade's efforts to develop its work in supporting the local product across every essential and value-adding stage of production — through to export — the Authority aims to raise the local-content ratio and strengthen the competitiveness of these products in international markets.
The Local Production & Export & Development Authority (EDPA) was established by Law No. 3 of 2016, replacing the Export Development & Promotion Agency created under Decree No. 9 of 2009, in order to achieve effective integration between the productive and the export sectors through varied activities and programs that reduce production costs and increase the competitiveness of Syrian exports — for the benefit of the Syrian economy and society.
